    Wink bend text

    Hi

really having a senior moment here.

TYped some text: Fallen, I want the top edge to be curved down in the middle whilst the bottom edge stays straight.

I converted the text to an editable shape and then thought that I could use the shape editor to push the top edge down.

Wrong! What have I forgotton- apart from my name

    cheers

Hi Ian, no need to convert text, just use the mould tool.
    Regards,

I take it that you would like the text to fit the word. The two ways that you could try would be firstly, draw a Line to the shape that you want the text to fall, then type in the text, select both, then under the Arrange select Fit text to Curve. The second method would be the Mould Tool but I don't see you getting the effect that you want. There is a third way and it is the way that you are trying to use at the moment and that is to ungroup your text and the using the Selector Tool pushing the letters around and then double clicking them and using the rotate feature to give the falling effect. Hope that helps your senior moment I know how it feels.

You could always do text on a curve... but that wouldn't be squished in the middle just bent.
