Photoshop CS3 shutsdown

I have recently installed CS3 on my laptop (P4 3.2GHz, 1024Mb & 256 graphics) and every now and then the app shuts down to the desktop with no explanation or error message. I'm sorry this isn't much to go on, but I wondered if anyone had any ideas at all. I do not run any other app's whilst CS3 is on, and I dont have any probs with others like Corel Painter etc. Thanks for taking the time to read

what o/s are you running?

Vista? xp home? premium?

i found p'shop to shut down unexpectedly with xp home but not with pro or vista,

Hi Robbie,

It's windows XP home. It doesn't shutdown every time, but it is still losing me work. I've even tried re-installing and shutting down background apps. I defragment quite regularly too. puzzled!!

Moral of the story, save more often. I know this isn't a fix, but sadly Adobe has no idea what would cause this. I know, cause it happens to me too.

Hmm thats a strange problem, sometimes it acts funny on me and wont let me change the size ratio of my project, it seems to do this at random.
