    i have this:
    main timeline: menu1, menu2, menu3...

under menu2,another navigation that triggers pop-up windows on rollover...

when you create the contents of navigation as stated above, it works fine if it is on its own
timeline, separate and not related to the main timeline...

if you put it on menu2, the pop-ups doesn't work...

hint guys please, it driving me crazy...

Can you give us a bit more detail on how things are setup? Are menu1, menu2 and menu3 scenes, or movie clips, or seperate movies, or just different frames, or what? A little more detail might help us figure out what your problem is. Are you embedding the subnavigation into a movie clip or on the main timeline? If you let us know how everything is set up, it might help us answer your question. Thanks!

flash still confuses me on a lot of things, so sorry for not giving a clear information...

menu1, menu2, menu3 are movie clips on the main timeline. they swap within the screen depending on which button is pressed (menu1, menu2 and so on..). so the sub-navigation (sort of) is embedded into menu2 movie clip and not on the main timeline...and it has buttons in it that will respond to rollover action.

thanks for the reply and any help is really really welcome and appreciated...

Why not set up menu2's subnavigation elements as a different movie clip. Just make the first frame of the movie clip a blank one, and give the first frame a go to and stop action - it should go to frame 1 of the movie clip. starting in frame 2, you should create your navigation submenu. That way, when you click menu2, you can tell target the subnavigation menu to go to and play frame 2 - and you can reuse the element wherever you want, whenever you want. It sounds like that might be what you're trying to do?
