How to make clickable list in Flash without generator

Does anybody have an idea how to create a list in Flash from a single textbox? I want a textbox where the user can click on one of the text lines in it as a selection. I cant figure it out!?!?!

This is one way to do it. IMHO, though, I'd say that this sort of thing is still handled much better in Director or in plain ol' HTML.
