    Default Opening a flower?

A friend of mine is making a movie and she wants me to create a Lotus flower opening and the title coming out of it. I am not sure that I am capable of doing this, but I am going to try.
It seems to me that I should be able to start with the flower open and the title displayed. Create the steps to close the flower, then reverse the frames.
Do you think this will work?

    Hi Grace,

maybe it's better to let the lotus flower be open and then let the title flow out of the flower (or something like that) and after that, blend over to the next scene?

btw: There is a short (really short) YouTube video called "Lotus Blooming" which could be a first reference video.

    Regards,

Well, I am getting there. I did start at the end then reverse the frames. The Lotus opening animation is not really an animation yet, its just a series of stills that I created. I will start work on "tweening" the petals to open them.

Excellent Grace. The textured text is excellent.

I took the liberty of placing the swf in-line so others could view it more easily. Is that okay?

Egg, I'm pretty sure it's called Papyrus. Grace, that is a really, really very, very nice animation.
