    Default purchasing illustrator?

I have illustrator CS3 on a trail at the moment and am thinking of purchasing it, it’s $599 from the US website and £569 on the UK website, so my question is, is there anything stopping me buying it from the US website as a download and using that key to unlocked the trial version that I have downloaded seeing as the exchange rate is good so it would nearly be around half price.

If you are talking about purchasing from Adobe, you'll find you'll be unable to purchase from the US store using a UK address.

Any particular reason for buying it rather than just using Xtreme?

    Hi Pauland

Yeah I just noticed that you can only purchase if you are in that territory.

I would go for Xtreme but I’m on OSX, do you know if there are any plans to support the Mac platform on Xara products

If I remember correctly, Xara have advertised in the past for a Mac developer, but there's never been a public announcement as far as I know.

If you have a recent machine, how about parallels?

One other thing - there's going to be some announcement from Xara soon, so it might be an idea to wait - just in case!

Paul not my job, I'm not the seller. The licensing restrictions are clear on the site for all to read, just as they are at any bricks'n'mortar store.

    Sledger,

I think for sales such as you pointed to it's really important to point out the licence issues - the last think I'd want to see is manny buy something but be unable to use it - that would hardly be helpul. If you will indicate educational sales, it's surely responsible to indicate the restrictions as well.

Many people upgrade after buying the education version if they can prove that they are in education whither it is part time or full time. Remember Adobe allows you to upgrade basically from Photoshop.
