xara menu program help!!!!!!!

when I go to insert a menu I made with xara in dreamweaver 8 , dreamweaver try's to open menu maker and it does open 3/4's of the way then says I need to insert the xara menu cd which I do not have because I purchased the download version how do I solve this problem?

In regards to unlocked downloadable versions:

The software is fully functional but in some cases demo movies or resources such as textures, photos or example graphics will only be on the CD.

The CD version is priced at just $4 more than the downloadable version. I guess there are useful resources on the CD which make the extra few dollars worthwhile?

I ordered it yesterday and assumed there download of the program would be good enough I hope someone has the answer.

I would have to wait for the cd to come in the mail anyway so I would be stuck for now not being able to insert my menu

it was not because the 4$ difference that I bought the download version.

Submitt a support ticket and mention that you have only just purchased the software and didn't understand that some resources might only be available on the CD.
I'm sure if you pay the additional $4 now, Xara will send out a CD..

Yes you will have to wait on snail-mail - but you can still use the software you have until then.

I am currently downloading a trial version of Dreamweaver 8. Once it is complete I will install the download version of MenuMaker and install the Dreamweaver plug-in.

I'll report back when my tests are complete.

I suggest uninstalling MenuMaker.

Close all open programs.

Re-install MenuMaker.

Make sure you are connected to the internet when installing MenuMaker. When it detects Dreamweaver is installed it will need to connect and download the Dreamweaver extension.

I tried multiple times installing DW8 and MM1.1 download. Everytime MenuMaker detected Dreamweaver and installed without any problems. I never got a request to insert the CD.

After each install I inserted a NavBar without any request for the CD.

I still do not have mine working tried uninstalling everything and still no working menu maker

when you go to insert menu in dreamweaver does it try to open the xara menu program?
because that is what happens on my end that's when I get the error

If you followed Bills steps precisely yet still have the original problem, perhaps you could try downloading the software from Xara again?

If this still does not resolve the problem, I strongly suggest you take the 'Support Ticket' route.
Moderators are not Xara employees and, like other TG members can only offer advice and help based on their own learned experiences and tests.

And please, if Xara support solves the issue for you, don't forget to post back and tell us

Yes Joe when you use Dreamweaver's Insert menu and select MenuMaker it does open Xara's application.

If it is asking for the CD after MenuMaker is open, I think you may have a corrupt download.

Follow Sledger's advice and download the installer again.
