Unterbid by half - what a bad business strategy.
The first thing to do, is to learn to calculate projects the right way.
I'm sure if Bill had been interested in working for 5$ per hour, he wouldn't start a discussion about money with his formerly boss.

Hi Remi,
My discussion with the boss was to get a pay raise for the warehouse workers.
His opinion was to pay them as little as possible. If they left he would simply hire more.
My opinion was to pay them for the work they perform and retain the workers so we were not constantly training new people. Experienced people can perform the job more quickly and therefore would result in a savings in the long run.

Hi Bill,
Based on your expertise and willingness to share all your knowledge here at talkgraphics, any company would be fortunate to have you as a business associate.
When you meet with prospective clients, do you have something to leave behind so they remember who you are? Make sure you have some professional, high-quality business cards (the cheapest advertising there is). Having a updated resume with all of your IT specalities would also be something important to leave with them.
Good luck in your job hunting.
Zee
Thanks Zee.
I have an interview this afternoon.
Still working on a business card design for myself and seem to be having designers block

Bill,
One other item. I'm sure you know it, but I'll mention it anyway. When interviewing with prospective clients, be sure NOT to mention your fallout with you previous employer. There is no benefit in doing it. If they ask why you left your previous employer, just say that you are interested in creating your own IT Support business, and the variety that it would offer, etc. etc. etc. Everything should be positive; nothing negative.
Even though you didn't leave on the best of terms with your previous employer, would it be possible to get a "letter of recommendation" from any of the managers?

Thanks again Zee. Good advice.
I will post some designs for comments and criticisms but it may be a day or two before they are ready.

Don't forget....
After the interview, sit in the lot & wait until the interviewer leaves.
Follow them home, and when they get there, be sure to beep & wave
(well.... it works for the mafia....)
Paul, only if she is single and about my age.
