Yes, I know we're talking semantics, here, and
any pedants out there might be inclined to say,
"Shouldn't the title be "Vanishing Jar of Vanishing Cream?"
Well, yes, it should, but then the joke wouldn't work, would it?

To be semantic-pedantic, 'vanish' comes from the Latin 'vanus' which = empty so that any jar containing said cream is empty therefore the jar wouldn't vanish.

You probably know the expression, used in boxing terms, (as attached below), but for 15 players to do it at the same time is an impossibility. So the only explanation I can offer is that at half time the England team were kidnapped and replaced by 15 9 year-old schoolgirls dressed in look-alike costumes who were forced to take part in the debacle that was the second half.
"Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" doesn't even come close. England need to put 40 points over the opposition in the remaining matches in this championship to erase the memory of that one.
No grand slam this year then, certainly for England, and you'd be silly to put any money on Ireland, either. Such a shame as England were looking promising in the first half. Strettle and Flood looked world class. Let's pin our hopes on France to provide the flair this year (again).
