    Lightbulb Company Design Challenge

Hello and welcome to our next community challenge.

This challenge is about a part of the regular Design demands for Designers:
Develop a design concept for a new imaginary company.

As usual, this is more a "social" challenge for showing your design ideas, not a real commercial contest. So, you'll find no prizes or something like that, but a lot of fun.

As in real live there are some rules (or call them "demands") for this challenge:

    1. The goal of the challenge is, to create the following pieces of a Corporate design:
      1. A logo with the name of this imaginary company.
      2. Visitcards.
      3. Letterhead.
      4. It's _not_ necessary to design a brochure, a website or a complete style manual.
    2. Our imaginary customer owns a company with the name "TG Consulting & Design" ("TG" could stand for "talkgraphics" or for a person with a name like "Theodore Goddard", but one of the artificially "constraint" in this Challenge is, that you have to use the name "TG Consulting & Design" in your design, in order to see which different kind of ways you'll find to handle this constraint or if you're able to bypass this guideline in a creative way).
    3. This imaginary company is a small business and the main focus of this company is IT services and Graphic Design.
    4. To make it more difficult, the logo has to looks good with few colours and in b/w. The customer likes the colour green in every tint and shade (in this challenge it depends on you, if you're able to support the cutomer needs or not).
    5. You can use any Graphics program you like for this challenge, but we all are interested in details, so please drop a note about the used software tool(s).
    6. It's not necessary, but you can use the attached files as a starting point, in order to make your life easier.
    7. Please post your results as PNG, GIF or JPG files - regardless which Graphics program you use (remember that your customer don't own such a Graphics Software).
    8. The copyright of each image remains with you. It depends also on yourself, if you publish the sourcefile (for example a .XAR file) or not.
    9. There is no defined end, so take your time. But as usual, the whole TG Community is already waiting impatiently for your results...

So, show us your creativity and post your ideas here.

You have nothing to loose, only to win

I hope you're not asking for free logo's Remi

    just kidding with you..

It's a great challenge Remi and I'm really looking forward to seeing many results.
As usual, I expect them to be as diverse, individual and comment provoking as are the personalities which go to make up TalkGraphics, which make this discussion board shine above the rest..

I may even have a go myself

Yes, this challenge is _not_ another asking for freebies as we're able to see from time to time.

As you all know I don't like this "freebie requests" threads. But on the other side I think we all enjoy it to create a new design and also to see the great ideas and creativity from our members in such threads. Therefore, I thought by myself: Let us start a Challenge for an imaginary company.

But a Challenge has to be a little bit "challenging" in my eyes. Therefore, the rules above.

I'm curious, what kind of different designs we will see.

    Regards,
    Remi

    Good idea Remi,

Can another post's xar file (in this challenge ) be manipulated to another design / improvement?

    Hi Jim,

you're allowed to change/use my simple design above.

But if you would like to use a design from another member, you have to ask him/her, because the copyright remains by the member who posts the design.

Following the keep it simple stupid principles,
just three greens and two fonts used, plus
    a small logo.
    Greyscale letterhead added. Design changes to biz card;
green sidebar added to match letterhead, and as a
concession to the advice received, I've reduced the point size
of the existing sans serif font to conform with suggestions.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

    Nice logo Bob.

    Maybe too many fonts.
It looks like a collection of different ideas rather than one complete.
