    Best quality in what respect?

If you are referring to animated gif and the number of colours. The answer would depend on the number of colours being used. I find 16 colours work well on some animations. Others may require 256 (maximum colours for a gif).

If you are referring to which file format. It would depend on the intended use of the animation. For use on a web page an animated gif or Flash animation are a must. Web pages don't use .avi files very well

If you want to use the output as a title screen for a video then .avi would be best.

I'm sure you know what you intended to ask. But, it may not be obvious to anyone else. Please clarify.

I wanted to make a few animated rotating gifs for my friends but when I export the gifs, they look pixelated. I tried enabling dithering and changing to 256 colors. Any suggestions on how to make the gif look sharp like it does while I'm creating it? Thanks
