adding spinning logo to slideshow

Steve the shadows are on by default I believe to make it more true to live.

Xara3D is primarily for creating 3D images for use on a web page.

Using the same background as the target page allows the shadows to work very effectively both in still images and animations.

As newer features were added to web pages features have been added to Xara3D. Exporting to .avi and .swf for use on a web page can still incorporate shadows but the user must ensure they have the appropriate background.

If Jim will be using the animation over a still image it is possible to place that image on the background (may require changing it's resolution or the frame size in Xara3D so it does not tile on the background). Shadows can still be enabled in that case.

Hi Guys

I know you have all been a great help but when I put the 3D logos on with a plain coloured background and save them they spin after saving but if i save them with a photo in the background it's only the lettering thats saved with a black background.

What am I doing wrong?

sorry - its not too clear here at what stage you are doing this - are you trying to save them with a photo in the background from xara3D and it is not working?
what file type are you using

Hi Steve,

The photo i've been trying to use is I beleive a JPEG it is a collage made of 4 photos so not sure if that may be the problem i'm trying to save them onto the photo in the background of Xara3d as you say but when I save them they come out with just the logo with a black background and no photo.

Here is the photo i'm trying to work with and i'm trying to put my Granchildrens names and dates of birth in the center of the photo.

you see them in the xara3D but not in the saved animation? - are you saving the animation as a gif or avi or swf?

Please find below 3 different versions I have tried to save in AVI, GIF and *swf formats.

I have saved them all with the photo above as the background so hopefully it will work ok.

Here is the xara3d file you asked for.

I've also added the latest logo i've made it's like I want it but it's cutting off the bottom of 2 of the childrens faces and it looks like a sort of negative image for some odd reason.

Not sure why it's done this but i'm getting there slowly LOL

ok - the problem is with the background texture - xara 3D is not really geared up to do this sort of thing with photo montage - it tiles the image and there is only limited adjustment as far as I know that can be made

can you post up the background photo - sorry about this - but if you can, should be able to fix it, provided the photo is suitable

do you have xara xtreme?
