This is a drawing I started a few months ago. Works a bit slack lately so I spent some time finishing her off.

    Egg,

You are the master of small details... Your patience, persistance and technical know-how is also admired.

    Looks great!

Love it, Egg. The water is especially effective.

It's full of mood and detail, Eric. I'm ashamed I didn't see it earlier!

    Love it.

    Love it a lot.

    My Best,

    Gary

    Egg,
Really great job! I've been working on a ship at sea off and on for a while now. Still have a ways to go...

    Cheers Ed.
Sure did. However trying to recreate that effect in vector is very difficult. I did try but came a very poor second.

I based the vector drawing on my brothers, brother in laws original painting. His name is Arthur Hudson and is an extremely talented marine artist. Here is his original oil painting.

Lovely drawings Egg and the ship in the background I think is one of the Harrison Line ships, Black funnel with red band between two white bands and their hulls were black with red boot topping. I've posted what is one of my favourite pics. of Manchester Docks, No.9 Dock, you can see the huge grain ellevator at the head of the dock and the old steam heavy lifting crane "Mammoth"
In the foreground is the tour boat MSC Silver Arrow which took you around the docks and then up the MSC to Latchford all for a few bob. Sadly none of this remains anymore but I think the three dry docks and pontoon are preserved by volunteers and old employees of the Manchester Dry Docks.
