    Default Budgie

    A picture of my daughter with her pet budgie she has been trying to make it talk for years with no success anyone got any tips?.

    Rather large for a budgie. I don't think I would risk annoying the bird...just wait until he/she decides it is time to talk

    Your Gran was correct.

    Budgerigar is derived from the Aboriginal word: Betcherrygah old aboriginal dialect word meaning "good food."

    Though by todays Western diet, would mean "Good snack"

    She always had budgies and they were always tame - one would put its head inside your mouth if you repeatedly clicked your tongue - only for the brave mind - sharp beak - if you didn't stop clicking - ouch!
