A quick question about installing the CD version

First, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year before many head out to wherever for the holidays!

Second, and the reason for this post. I should be getting the CD version of XXP next week (went to US credit card address and now is being forwarded to Argentina--I know too much information ).

Do I need to uninstall the download version before installing the CD? I checked the Xara website support and found nothing that answered this question. Maybe I looked in the wrong place.

At any rate, I would welcome any suggestions. Thanks to you all for your help with all manner of things and for this very friendly forum!

I've always installed the CD version over the download for every upgrade that has been released since Xara X came out in 2000.

The install works without any errors and when the new version is first started it asks if I want to keep my previous configuration. That saves me from having to go through the options and set things up the way I want them.

If I remember rightly, Xara actually recommend installing over the downloaded version.
