Anybody seen JOAN?

Yep it's that time again. I've rebuilt my PC - remembered my IE Faves, and backed up all my art work etc.

As always I have not installed any of thoese programs I never user (or their trials ran out and I did not like).

But I forgot to back up my fonts dir!!!

I have an art work that used to use JOAN - and I can't find it anywhere .

But I know you folk will help me out any idea etiher where I can get it or which Application it comes with?

A google search for joan____.ttf returned the link.

Wonderful, don't know how you did it - as googling 'JOAN' throws up fonts by peope called joan and joan.tff gave a lot of dead or misleanding links.

So thanks for that help. My son had done a school project and he had used that font.

Hey Turan - It has been a long time.

To avoid coming up with a gazillion sites with people named Joan, add font to your search.

Hi Turan,

As Gary mentioned add font to your search to help restrict the returned links.

Many older fonts follow the 8.3 filename convention. Use the font name and enough underscore characters to make 8 then add the .ttf to make the complete name.

Thanks for this thread. I've always liked that font and just went and got it. I can't recall why this font looks so familiar. I see it all the time... somewhere.
