    I think she would be a little too distracting for a desktop, particuliarly with flashing hair...

    Stygg it may be a setting you have for your desktop. I was able to use your animated gif on my WinXP and Win2K desktops without any problem. On Vista with the Aero theme gif files are not supported on the desktop, only bmp, jpg, and dib (device independent bitmap) files can be used as wallpaper.
