I've only tested this with one Watercolor variant but try it to see if it works for you:

You'll find the Diffuse Amt control in the Brush Controls' Water palette.

I am surching for a solution that I can keep the original diffusion aspect but not outside of the selection. Maybe I dream about something impossible...

But thank you very much I didn't know about this amt control, I am new with Painter, its my first day today.
