    Default Calling All Chromeoholics

The attached was inspired by Ron Duke's Jaguar mascot.
A selection from a photo of my cat, used to grace our gateposts in an earlier posting.
The challenge is to chromatize anything using Xara.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Back in the late sixties and early seventies there was a band called Iron Butterfly...I think they would have killed for your post, Rich. They actually reformed in 2004, and if they are still out there, they may yet beat a path to your door.

Bill, that is very realistic chrome on your text (Cooper?). Nice to see you didn't use any plugins. Perhaps I should have stipulated no plugins in the challenge, I'd completely forgotten that one existed in Xara.
Having said that, Norman, your use of one on Rich's bug is very imaginitive.

Here then is my original posting made using the Xara plugin.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Thanks Bob. The font is Coolsville.

An example of a matte finish chrome.

A blurred bitmap was used for the colours. The .xar file is attached if anyone wants to examine the parts.

This is an environment image made from a chrome gas cap. I would imagine it is somewhat affected by the environmental lighting.

Draw an object and with the object selected run the color probe over the image in Hue mode.
