Default Please assist if you can....

    Hi,

I am trying to import an animated gif that I created in Xara 3D6 into the Xara Xtreme but I want it to appear inside a solid rectangle that I have created in Xtreme. Then, I want to save the entire gif so that the animation will animate inside the box when I view it in the browser. Can anyone assist me with this?

    Thanks,

    Howard

Hello Howard and Welcome to the Xtreme Conference

Import the GIF into a New Animation window (File > New > Animation)

Create a new frame and in it, in the Frame Gallery, move the new frame to the top, add your rectangle and designate the frame as Background. This frame will appear in all frames of the animation.

    Now export your animation.

If you need more specific instructions ask and we'll go into more detail.

Thank you Gary for your assistance.

I did what you said and I see how it can be done. But now that I have done this I am trying to figure out how to move the animated image to where I want it in the rectangle. Since there are many frames to the animation, I find that if I move it, it only moves one of the frames and this throws the entire animation off when I view it in the browser. How can I move all frames of the animation together to another location within the rectangle?

    Thanks again,

    Howard

Why can't you simply move the one rectangle rather than many frames?

    Hi

Because the rectangle is not moveable when the animation is on the same page and is visible on the rectangle. There must be some way to adjust it. I haven't figured it out though. Thanks

    Howard,
Maybe you could post your Xara file so we can take a look at it.

But I think I figured it out. In the frames gallery ther is a button that says "all frames visible". Clicking that solves the problem. Thanks anyway. Have a good one.
