    Hi
    Can you be more specific.

Right-click image >> 'Create bitmap copy'
On Bitmap Size tab, select DPI: and choose 300

(Note that you can manually type in any dpi value if you wish)

Hey sorry for not being specific enough

Yeah, bitmap copy kinda does the trick..

buuut, is there a way to change the dpi and to preserve all the vectors editability? Now i figured i shouldnt have said "image". I was actually referring to the entire document

    Vectors don't have resolution.

    I know that! aaargh.

Ok. What if i worked on a 1000x500 pixels design at 96 dpi (yes, with vectors), and wanted to quickly change its entire size up to 300 dpi.

Actually... ya, youre right, if its all vector based, it doesnt really matter.. meh, spent too much time with adobe, so now its kinda difficult to adjust when i used fireworks, which is vector based, you still were able to set up the DPI. Thats why i got confused here.

    Tahnks anyways

Now I guess I understand. So you work with coordinates in pixels and then you want the design to be scaled to the new pixel size (as represent by the DPI setting). So that you'll continue to work with pixel coordinates but they will be calculated based on the different resolution.
    This is actually interesting question.
Xtreme holds all coordinates internally in real world measuring units (in millipoints). Thus they do not depend on the resolution of the output. They don;t have to be scaled unlike some other vector programs that keep their coordinates in pixels or their fractions.
So when you set your units to pixels, it simply converts internal coordinates to pixels based on the 96 DPI resolution. That's the coordinates you can see and work with in Xtreme. You can't change it, the "pix" units are fixed 96 DPI.
So what can you do if you want to work with pixel coordinates based on the 300 DPI resolution? I think the easiest way is to add a custom unit that will represent pixels at this resolution.
See the attached screenshot showing the unit settings for the 300 DPI pixels.

    Hope it helps.

    nice explanation John

I think it should be stamped somewhere in large letters that 'pix' in xtreme is a unit of scale at 96dpi - not short for 'pixels' as is sometimes assumed...

Yeah, this made it so much clearer! Thanks for the info.. and for the workaround
