Charles, can we have a Layer set feature next time please?

Ha! yes I actually posted about in back in 2002 I now remember. The suggestion did not meet with as much support then though.

I think that since 2002 the way I use Xara and other software has changed significantly. I'm now used to having much more sophisticated layers and I miss them in Xara.

and if it really goes along with keeping layers intact when importing/exporting .psd files I would be more than happy.
Its basically the only reason I use PhotoPlus still.

Yea I'd prefer to see the print dialog beefed up too. I've learned mainly to keep the use of transparency to a minimum while using CMYK for seps. The surprises I get with output are perplexing at times.

I've noticed several little bugs (annoying little Xara workarounds) with Xpro compared to X1. It must be tough getting all the features the same when creating the same program using 2 different code techniques, "I can't imagine the complexity there. " It's very close though...

The new features are integrated will with Xpro, some nice additions.

I'll be quite happy when the bugs are fixed, hopefully we will see a patch soon. Actually, I'm happy regardless.... Life as an artist is a blessed one for sure! To be using such a great program as Xara is icing!

I just got here... yet I would like improved Layers functionality as well. Please add me to the Layers improvement bandwagon.

As it stands currently (with my newbie understanding of what's possible with Layers) I will probably need to start the practice of creating a Layer for each created object (named appropriately) since one cannot see the objects themselves within layers (nor select them from within the Layer dialog, nor name them). This is going to result in a pretty unwieldy layers list.

I would greatly prefer to have collapsable layers with nameable objects in each and with a selection checkbox next to each object that would let the user be able to have an alternate method of selecting objects in a crowded scene.
