A Few basic Dreamweaver questions <- Newb to dw...

Hi there im just starting to design/code sites in dw....and i was wondering if poeple could tell me the best way to go about putting it together in dw...

first i designed the whole layout as one image in photoshop and then sliced it in imageready.....then i imported them as Images in dw.....now to add content etc do i need to do it with layers? is this the easiest way as in for each say content table do i insert a new layer and then a Div?


what is the cleanest and best way to do this? please help me out...thanks.

Hi Effect. You sound like you might be a bit new to the web world.

You could do as you mentioned, or you could also try doing layout in your web page with CSS. DW does a nice job of this.

You also have an old school route of using Tables. Sometimes people find that easier. Slice up your graphics and place them in table cells.

could you please explain the css way of doing things?

i also just need to know what the best way is of putting say a contents tcat on top of my main website back drop...is it new layer?
