New Animation button disabled (gray)

Hi!

I am a complete newbie in Ubuntu and Xara Xtreme but I manage to install both.

I run Xara in Ubuntu 9.10. The reason I got so interest in Xara is its ability to create Flash animations. I need that on on my website that I am building for a company. But I have a problem: The New Animation button in the left upper corner is disabled (gray) and I can't figure out how to enable it. I have installed Adobe Flash Player 10. I thought it needed a flasplayer. Didn't help. Is there someone who knows how to enable this function?

Welcome Pietari. Unfortunately Xara Xtreme's development under Linux has ground to a halt and is no longer progressing. So it's pretty much what's there and working okay. What's not is not. So you'll need to stick with windows if you want a fully operational copy of Xtreme.

As Egg says xtreme LX [the linux version] is not currently under development as far as we know, and the forum here is closed

[If by any chance you are using windows xtreme under WINE - that does not work 100% and the later versions not at all as I understand it]
