fountain filled artistic text will not print

Had this issue now on two different jobs. Thought it was just me, but the print shop had the same issue using X3. The first character will print, but none of the rest of them print. For it to print in X3 you have to change it to outlines. OR


Save the same X3 file as a version 12, then print from version 12 no problem and the text can remain as text.

Printed to the latest Distiller driver, Xerox 240, Oki w/ PS3-- all the same first character only.

X3 just has a bunch of goofy bugs, particularly with printing. It's very irritating.

I've posted a file sample if anyone would like to try it on their machine.

I think it must be your printer driver or using postscript.
I have no problems with gradient fills in X3, using artistic text as is or converting to curves, and printing to a Canon bubblejet.
