Animated Route on Map

I would like to create that type of an animated route on a map. Any Ideas how to make it with Xara?

You could make a bold line, arrow, or picture of a car etc, that moves along the major route on the map , and then have it stop at its destination. You could even have a star or some symbol appear once the destination has been reached on the map. You need to make the frames in Xtreme and export in the flash format.

Thank you for your answers...The idea to move an object (star, etc) along the road is fine but I would prefer a "moving" line following the route and of course I wouldn't like to animate the line be adding pixel by pixel...I had the idea to apply a gradient transparency to the line but how can I animated that?
