    Default Magic Wand Selector Tool

Hello I have converted to Linux from PC & now always choose open source software. I have installed Xara Xtreme for Linux but there one big difference to Fireworks & Photoshop.... no Magic Wand tool.
I am not a power user or artist I simply use graphics apps to make web graphics & the Magic Wand tool is something I use frequently.
Could anybody point me in the direction of a tutorial or tell me what settings will select an area like the Magic Wand Tool?
    Many Thanks in advance

Vector graphics are alot different than bitmap, theres is no magic wand. With vector graphics you create objects like circles and use them too build your webpage banner or whatever. Take a look around on this forum especially the xara xtreme (for windows) forum, there are alot of tutorials to get you started.

For bitmap gfx you might want to try Gimp or that-KDE-app-I-cant-remember-the-name-of.

Now I remember, it's called Krita
