importing ( opening ) text as a graphic

handrawn, I did bring it into Photoshop,
save as a .psd file and then opened in
Illustrator. Used Live Trace and the
result was clean, but not a match to the
original artwork. Good to know.

In the end, I was unable to locate the
originator of the art. I contacted several
people who work with the named brand.
One was able to provide a usable AI file.
