    Default cloud challenge

Here's a photo I took this evening at sunset, of the eastern sky as viewed from my garden.
the challenge would be to draw a cloud in the vector application of your choice,
    photorealism isn't essential.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

See previous posting for text. I stupidly pressed the submit button without attaching the photo!

    A XARA fluffy white cloud.
A few white shapes with fractal transparency and feathering on a four colour blue sky background.
And again with a toy plane for added realism.

    Derek,
The toy plane really knocks me out.
The great thing about this is that together with your cloud,
you have created a great composition.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

    Thanks for reposting this, Derek.
I do remember seeing the 'plane in a previous posting,
which is why it made me laugh now.
It's a salutory lesson on saving everything one
has done...you never know when you might want
    to use it again.
The flower, (orchid? lily?) I'm hopeless with flora, is lovely.
Also, I love your thumb(s)nail motif,
    Saludos,
    Bob.

The grayscale image made bitmap transparent and recolored. I Gelled a couple of layers, and added lighting. The layers were made bitmap transparent again with a paper texture, and placed behind the first image.

As always Rich, some interesting effects.
I was following your method, and got carried away, without paying too much attention to what I was doing; I know it involved a bitmap copy, a texture and a transparency (possibly luminosity). The result looks like the aftermath of an explosion. Original reposted, right.

    Bob.
