Just fooling around, being lazy today. Thought I'd see if I could make "Green Lantern's" power source for his ring.

If I had Mike's skills with Poser, I might have tried to make Green Lantern himself. I've started playing around with Poser 4, the poor models have gone through some torturous poses. With a lot of practice maybe they can assume a pose that is even remotely possible

EDIT: Updated the image after seeing it on another monitor at work. Changed the lighting so the bottom is visable.

Hi Randy. Yeah in the 1960's Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern was my favorite Comic Book character.

How is the Class so far? I know it just started yesterday, but any students showing their homework? Do you have a projected date the next level class may start?

Hey Bill, Class is off to a good start! Several homework assignments posted, many as just awesome.

I worked on the new class during the long weekend, but so far it is going slow. Inspiration is slow going right now. I am still shooting for the next term, but it may be the first of the year.

Try a bit of volumetric effect to the light.

    Ooh, That must hurt.

Hi Bill, I hope you will like working with poser.

To pose the models, turn off inverse kinematics. Start your pose at the characters hip and work out from there. After you get the model into position you can turn inverse kinematics back on if you want to.

Thanks Stu. I used volumetric for the light, but must not have set it up correctly. In this attachment I upped the dust setting and enabled radiosity and caustics. Increased the render time considerably.

Thanks Mike. Poser is fun, I'm slowly getting a feel for how to use it.

Thanks Gidgit, would you give me some idea of what type of detail to add?
