ohm is making me mad: or OM / AUM symbol

so....I'm trying to create a vector image of the ohm sign (attached) ....but...I can't get the circular lines that bend more than twice to work. That may have been confusing. So, when you make a line with two points, there is a little "arrow-type-thing" that comes out of each end so you can create a wave. But what if you need a line that curves 3 times? I can put another point there, but then it's never a smooth transition for me. I'm a nube, so I probably don't know about some easy way to do it...

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

Have you thought of inserting the Ω character from your font and then convert it to curves? Times Roman is character U+2126

Good idea jc, but I really need the "other" ohm...plus, i'd like to know how to do it for future uses. Thanks for the try.

Here's a funky omega (just eight points).

I drew a rectangle and converted it to a shape, then added four points and played with them.

I just realized that I was typing OHM when I really wanted to type OM or AUM. Now breath in.

is there a reason why the swirly thing at the right side of the 3 goes up in your picture? Usually I see it go down.
