I made lots of reflection maps for Expression. I tried a JPG map in the KPT filter in Painter IX.

Now this is really different. I could picture this hanging in a wall in someone's office building. I look at this and figures seem to swim inside, struggling to come out of the surface. Mind if I keep a copy? I'm not going to rip it off or anything. Just to add to nice images to look at when I'm looking for inspiration.

I made this by making a selection based on image luminance, and using the selection with the plugin. Something easy, again.

You can find maps at www.studioe3.com, and at www.pixelparity.org in the Expression forum.

I used the berry image. You probably wouldn't have guessed what I had used.

Not a Painter thing, but useable there. I took an image of a wing, and loaded it into XPal. The palette was saved to EPS and opened in X1. A circular mold was applied, and a background added. I drew a square larger than the circle and set it to transparent. This was exported to PNG/alpha. I then shaped the image in AutoFX Gel, and saved to PNG. The file was opened in X1 and trimmed to the circle. The image was still larger with a transparent border. After trimming, the file was saved to JPG for use as a map. Rich

I hadn't realized there were additional controls in Gel, but not i am able to control the highlights better. Rich
