Is it the printer or just me?

Hi, I am printing off a pdf created to go to the printers. Its on the printer in the office which is supposedly pretty good quality... when i view the pdf on screen everything is fine... but when i print it any red text has a whitish outline on the bottom and right sides... also an image (which has transparency) has a thin grey line along the right side of the height of the image....?

could this just be the printer head alignment?

could be certain effects in the file that dont print correctly leaving 'gaps'

I'm not an expert on printing or corel draw - a search of the forum should bring up some discussion on this topic - transparency is often involved as I recall.

Could try a test maybe - printing out a copy that has been 100% rasterised and see if that prints ok?
