    Default Growing swirl

    Hi there,

I been doing some flash work for a customer tha now wants a kind of swirl
growing up on theri page(se attached).

No biggie but since this kind of growing swirls are so popular right now I thought someone perhaps got an idea on how to create this effect easy and smooth using xara.

My 1st thoughts were, 'this wasn't made in Xara' and if it was it was done the hard way; without tweening, as it doesn't play smoothly.
To do it in XX you will need 2 objects:
    1 The swirl image
2 A block, which should be the same as the background and 'named' so that you can tween it.

Place the swirl on the background layer.
The next layer should have a thin rectangle to the right of the swirl (no lines only shape to save Xara processing). This shape should be 'named.
Copy this layer and then stretch this new rectangle to the left to cover the swirl (when it appears).

    Hi Sal,
Yeah it was made with xara in a couple of minutes, but if you put some more hands_on_tideous work on it it can be much smoother, I would however love to see if someone else done this in a smarter way...

The attahced files was done just moving and copying, 225 times...

Or you could do it so the 'vine' thickens as it grows and grows back on itself.

    Realy cool Egg!
I just presented a prototype to the customer and she´s very pleased.
One banner, a background and they also want a screensaver.
A nice summer assignment I say!
