Well I thought I would spend a few hours this afternoon trying to draw using Xara. This is my first attempt at 'computer' drawing. I think I learnt more from these last couple of hours than weeks of struggling through tutorials.

I do not know how to make the engraved text look as if it is cut into the metal (round the lens) if someone can help would be grateful.

I haven't finished it yet, but unfortunately I have to earn a living!

there are any number of ways to 'incise' text, but the simplest would work here,

when you BEVEL the text, simply drag the LIGHT angle opposite to the light direction on the surface. See Below.
