    Default Q re: Daz

    ok... trying a simple scene

a group of figs. I drew a 2D model in Xara, Used that model to create a 3D model in MOI. Exported as obj. Created a texture bitmap using values from 2D model and loaded model and applied skin in PoseRay. exported to obj.

when i load the obj in PoseRay materials (mtl) comes with (see sample).

bitchen! now create a 'scene' of several figs et viola, no?

when I import into Daz (READ UV, READ SURFACES, READ MATERIALS LIBRARY all checked) i get no materials.

    'sup widdat?

    ne'mine... figgered it out.

DAZ doesn't read the associated mtl. I attached the matmap individually for each instance.

now, clean up the map, fix that stupid seam, make a few variations (ripe, unripe) and they should be ready for opening night.

    regards,
    geo.

scaled down, they look more like avocados.

    more work needed.

(stop talking to yourself, geo... at least when others can hear you).

You could make a heap of money if you could transform pears into avocados in real life.

MOI looks like the bees knees for converting 2D stuff for 3D work.

Look forward to seeing the final product.

    Cheers

    Roger
