She is quite amazing! I don't really like the paintings much but am very impressed with her spirit. To me her poems are better than the paintings.

I don't want to diminish her work but I imagine many kids could actually do equally good work if nurtured artistically as she seems to have been. Unfortunately in our society, the artistic interests many children do possess fail to be nurtured and can even be discouraged.
