How to join two nodes

I know how to separate two nodes but how to join them? Or how to make a line between two nodes? I have two shapes and I want to connect them but I can't find anything to do that with.

Not sure this is what youre looking for but, pressing <Enter> works for me. Hope this helps

No that doesn't work. It closes both shapes but I want to connect them two. If Xara doesn't have an important feature like this I don't think I can use it.

Ah, ok. Select both shapes you want to connect, with select tool. Then using the shape editor tool drag one node over the other node you want to connect too, a plus (+) sign will appear next to cursor when youre over the node. Hope this helps a little more.
