Importing from Inkscape

Hi,

I am trying to import from Inkscape and am having no luck. I have found that Inkscapes trace bitmap works awesome, and I want to import the drawing into Xara to work with but I am not having any luck.

I have tried svg export from Inkscape but Xara doesn't seem to know what to do with it.

Any one have any suggestions?

if you have xtremepro use .pdf - should work fine for a trace, or a drawing without graduated color transparency.

if you don't have xtremepro then its more difficult - you need to convert .svg to .ai8 or .wmf format.
Which means you need illustrator or some other program as well.

PDF import from Inkscape works fine with Xara Xtreme 3.2 Standard as well.

good to hear that james, - not had a chance to try that out in the new xtreme 3.2 standard myself .
