Getting Rather good Rich!
Pretty soon you will be liking the entire picture and not just the wings or the eyes... so have you checked into selling any of your pretty pictures?
John,
Too involved in family matters for other things.
I have only seen a few butterflys this year. Last year was an environmental disaster for many species.

I would imagine that these pictures would go over great with the primary purchasers of wall hanging pictures... You should check with a few local art gallereis to see if they would show em for you.
You are so right! When Hurricane Wilma went through here (the eye passed directly over my home) my garden was devastated. I had worked to get my garden certified as a butterfly and bird urban habitat by the National Wildlife Federation, but for almost a year I saw virtually no butterflies and not many birds.
Last year I didn't get a single orange, lime, fig, mango or avocado and only one pomegranate. This year I'm getting a fair crop of mangos, and a few avocados, but the others still haven't rebounded.
Maybe next year...unless we get hit again...sigh...

Will
Will,
The same is happening here as well. We planted many tomato plants last year, and got about six altogether. They are not doing well this year either.
Other vegetables just aren't producing.
I did see four yellow butterflys today. It has been unusually windy for this time of year and I didn't photograph too much. Just a couple of shots in breezy conditions.

Nice one Rich,
Try cropping that one closer to the flutterby...
John,
A closer crop of the butterflop.

Rich...
Now that is much, much better! If I ever figure out how to make a buck off of my shots, I will let you know so you can make a few for yourself. You have to be able to make some money from these shots...
wow, what about natures texture eh... fantastic shots
