The green colors seem to be fine, but the reds are still difficult. Rich
You are so right there. The red saturates so darn easily. If I get time to shoot any flowers today I am going to try and see if I can turn down the red and green a bit. I know there is an color adjustment, just not sure if it is for the shot or just for the playback. Maybe I take a few shots in RAW also, just for a test.
The oversaturation of red is all in the eye of the beholder.
I LOVE red, so for me, there's no such thing as too saturated...LOL
Seriously, the rode is really beautiful, and I like the darkness of the image. Too many people would hit the "one click fix" with their software and brighten it up too much. The darker picture seems to have a sort of moody effect which I find to be reallly attractive.

Very nice rose!
It would make a very good card for a birthday or Mother's day. Or just a thoughtful card for a wife or girlfriend. One or the other except if your wife is also your girlfriend

Hi Will... the over saturation rich and I are trying to figure out washes out the detail in the rose petals and you have to darken the rest of the picture almost to black to bring out any definition between the petals.
Well, I changed the estting on my carea from bright back to noraml and the flower shots from today where much much better. You still have to watch the red for becoming over saturated, but I now have much more room to work between black and bright red splothes.
Thanks for the great compliment Bill. All compliments are gracefully and humbley accepted...

Ooooooo I like that! Excellent exposure and use of depth of field. The subtle texture of the petals is very obvious. Having the back of the flower out of focus makes it seem to be extremely large. I can almost smell the fragrence and feel the velvety softness of the petals.

Seeing it framed and matted at 16X20 is a real show stopper too... At least I hope it will...
PS... I do not post my best shots on the net...
Thanks again for looking and enjoying and especially for the kind comments.
Here is the last shot of today. I earned this one.. over 100 degrees out in the sun. Good thing I have already gotten burned for the year...
Just resized and throwing the copyright on... No other retouching...
Very enchanting.
