I posted this image earlier but it seems to have disappeared.

interested on any comments re: composition

note: flowers are placeholders. new flowers will take their place later.

    Thumbs up Re: repost

    I like it Geo!

The colours are very good. The position of the elements within draws the eye from the window to the vase where you want it to be I assume.

I like how you have drawn the vase.

Are you sure you posted this before? I don't recall seeing it before.

Very very nice GeoBen - in my opinion the front of the chair could be a little darker???? (seeing that the light is coming from the back) I love the overall composition and the vase is amazing. I love the chair shadow on the table and the window is very cool. Great pic!

very nice Geo - like it.

perhaps the flower stems should be coming from out of the water and not from behind the table? - not that I disaprove - no realist me

Nice flowers... I like how they are growing out of the edge of the table...

I got that to happen once, when I was a kid, but then I cleaned the table and killed the growths...

Bill, thanks, yes... the eye should draw in that line. when finished, i want the line to be two way, leading out of the window.
I posted it once and then went away for a bit and when I came back it was gone. I am pretty sure I posted it as I had to edit it for a typo. anyway...

Yeah, Barry, I knew someone would bring that up. was hoping that the overall lightness of the room would conceal the fact that i 'extruded' using light. i shaded it, but if it still catches your eye, i will have to rethink it.

sure Steve, make fun of the aesthetically impaired. as mentioned, the flower stem is just to show where the flowers will eventually go. i will make new flowers (cymbidiums, i think). too lazy to move the damn things forward one layer.

thanks all. I wanted to get this part done before i started on the hard parts.

You are not aesthetically impaired Geo; far from it.

A lot going on here but it's not busy feeling. The detail on the window is great. Something about the chair shape and flower arrangement gives me a slightly Asian feel. Very peaceful and warm. It makes me think of a homey kitchen setting. Might want to extend the stems into the water in the vase. Lovely.
