Hi Rich... Nice clear closeups! What was the F-stops on these 2? The second one must have been much higher, because the background is almost in focus.

F11 @ 125 as usual. Just the location of the background relative to the subject.

Hi Rich,

Try a F4 or F5 when the background is so close... The tip of the tail gets lost in the background. or you could try the technique I did on the other flutterby...

Personally I like to do most of it in camera... It is quicker.
