    I was going to make one with a cat, but no longer have a cat. However, I did find some cat hairs underneath the bed, so I took advantage of them.

    Norman the ship is an excellent subject for this. Aridzone, I agree it is rather like putting together a puzzle. The 1st site I visited on Marquetry showed a group working on one subject, rather like ladies at a quilting bee.

    That's nice Penny. Could be used in an architecture feature like wood border along the top of a wall.

    I was thinking something along the lines of the top of a coffee table where the work and detail could be appreciated often. Nice one Penny.

    Thanks, Judi and Dal....... I think the original idea was from the lid of a box - something like a cigar box.
