    Yes, I used layers in drawing this one and the bow is on a different layer than the strings.

    It was only a matter of time before Ron got tired of cars and moved on to something with wood instead of chrome and paint.

    Ron - Might I suggest: Make the background deep black and narrow the spotlight. It will make the wood grain richer and make the violin really pop out.

    Smaller, Ron.

    The rich colors of the wood really stand out against black. Try dropping the shadow all the way down to the middle of the f holes. The bottom of the spotlight/shadow is very subtle and elegant. That's the way the entire spotlight/shadow should be.
