Thanks everyone,
Bill,
Yes, I used layers in drawing this one and the bow is on a different layer than the strings.

See you've been fiddlin' around. Good fiddling.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

Jose,
Thanks. I'd like to see your rendering.
You have an excellent website and your 3d drawings look like photographs!

It was only a matter of time before Ron got tired of cars and moved on to something with wood instead of chrome and paint.
Ron - Might I suggest: Make the background deep black and narrow the spotlight. It will make the wood grain richer and make the violin really pop out.

This is really well done Ron. I thought I had already replyed to this thread, but noticed I hadn't. I always enjoy and look forward to your posts. tim
Smaller, Ron.
The rich colors of the wood really stand out against black. Try dropping the shadow all the way down to the middle of the f holes. The bottom of the spotlight/shadow is very subtle and elegant. That's the way the entire spotlight/shadow should be.

I guess I'm a little deft...
Is this what you're looking for?

I would do it more like this. Just a suggestion.
