Default Help, how do you wrap a pattern in a circle?

I have a pattern I would like to use as a border for a CD label? I can repeat it easy enough but how do I bend it in a circle?

    Hi:
Considering where you've posted I have to ask; in what graphics program?

In any one. I currently have Gimp2, and Inkscape. But I will get Photoshop or anything else if it will work.

if you mean like this, done rather quickly I'm afraid, then it's straight forward enough in any decent editor, but if you mean actually bending the shape, I think it would distort too much.

Thanks, but ya I mean bend the shape. If it distorts too much I can use a different pattern.

    hummmm

trouble is you'll always get distortion if you actually bend the shape.
you could try capturing the image as a brush stroke
this can take some to and fro ing to get right - done quickly again [] in xara

The image as a bitmap stroke in E3.2. I made it transparent in XXP, and saved the image to PNG for the stroke. An image stroke will follow the path.
