Annoying Block around nav bar buttons

When testing my nav bar, I noticed this annoying box that appears as soon as I click on either of the buttons. It remains until I click the mouse at any location on the page.

This happens when testing locally and when I uploaded to my server.

Any suggestions?

Ummm... LeeW

Try another broswer besides IE? That is the default for IE. Go to any other site and click on a button, You will see the block. Try it on an image map also... You can get other neat and annoying shapes besides the box.

Thanks. Here's why I asked that question. I'm using IE. I'm looking at the Xara homepage while typing this. I notice that the focus box does not appear on any of the buttons/links on these pages.

Obviously there's a work around.

try putting "border=0" in the image tag?

Since I'm talking about a menu created using Xara MM.. I assume you're suggesting I edit the image tag for each image in the script.

Regretfully yes. Unless you can find something in MM to add that to the script. Off hand I do not know where to look in MM to find it.
