I'm Distraught! Where has the web/hex colour gone?

I've been more than happy with XaraXpro so far - very stable, actually works with the plugins (what joy!), *LOVE* the new text boxes ...

... but where has the web-hex colour option gone?!

I use this an awful lot to check and fine tune colours for web design and I can't imagine why someone would want to take it out!

I'm stunned. Please can we have that back in future upgrades? It is/was really handy and I use it all the time, not just when working with Xara but also to find just the right shade for hyperlinks, table borders etc and to get a hex reading on a specific colour.

Meantime, I'm glad I haven't unistalled good old XaraX and I'm also glad they're running so happily side by side.

Hi SFX,

I'm not sure I follow you on this.

The web hex values are on the Color Editor the same as they have been on all version I have used. Xara X, X¹, Xtreme, and Xtreme Pro.

Soquili's screen capture might be a tad confusing since the screen tip refers to web colors, but the icon that actually displays the hex field is the one for advanced options.

Also, the hex field only shows for the HSV and RGB color spaces. It doesn't apply to CMYK and grayscale.

Thanks Allison, I thought I had misread the question. I deleted my original post, then on a reread I thought maybe he wanted the limit to web colours.

Alright so I'm not distraught now that I've found where it has gone!

I was so used to seeing the five options on the colour drop down menue, when there were only 4 I freaked out.

You may be confusing the color model dropdown with the one that sets the type of color.

The number of options on the color dropdowns hasn't changed (at least since X1). The color model dropdown has 4 options. The color type has 5.
