Thread: Lost Marbles

    Default Lost Marbles

Lost mine a long time ago....
It started as a challenge for myself, to try and draw a realistic marble with transparency in PI. Path objects, converted to image objects for further painting, color tweaking and masking. Ended up with a pretty good marble object with transparency which I saved as a ufo file. Created some 3d terrain renders in Bryce, extracted portions of the renders in PI to create those floating islands, and composited everything within another Bryce sky render. Two other marble variations done by rotating and using the hue and saturation adjustments.

Very nice, always wondered when I lost my marbles, where they were ending up. Seems like a nice environment to hang out with them there. Very Salvador Dahli like.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

I like it very much. Very Sci-Fi.

Somewhere out in the universe all those lost marbles are floating around on their own small island

Ahhh, you're a bunch of romantics....
James, your extra large ball bearing shooter would have to be really big. My cateye marble is huge, and there's an even bigger metal eyeball here in my PI marble sack...
