I tried loading/installing with the "run as Admin" and also logged in as the Admin. Same problems. I never did get it to load correctly.
Thanks guys.

Hi Soquili,
Yes, sorry i havent had as much time of late!
The grayed out problem is probably not connected to running webstyle on vista. The problem can occur if you are connecting webstyle to an account from which the product has not been purchased or youve purchased
It is worth resetting the template status and redownloading the templates :
Select start followed by run and type regedit
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\Xara\Webstyle 4\Startup
Right click on the registry entry named Template version and select modify. Set the value data to 0 (zero) and click okay
Restart Webstyle. Click on 4 logo in the the left corner of the title bar, to display the system menu and select 'Don’t connect Automatically'
Click on the Update button in Webstyle
Enter your Xara account email address and password and select to Sign in, which should cause the download and installation of the templates. ** ensure you connect to the account used to purchase webstyle 4 and the template packs.
Thanks
bb2
Thanks BB2. When member Vista checks in I hope that solves the problem.

I know, this replay comes a little late, but oviously the Xara guys never heard of Vista and how it works. Try this:
First of all you have to be administrator AND owner of the WebStyle.exe file (right click, properties, security, advanced, owner, edit).
Then you have to leave the file, restart your computer and go in again. You'll find your administrator name in the upper security window when editing.
Now you can attach all rights and then hit the *.exe file again.
The CD should run and open the program.
Good luck
Mike
msmusic when Webstyle 4 was released Vista was not even in alpha testing. So Xara Ltd was not the only company that had not heard of Vista and how it worked. It is rather difficult to write code for an operating system that did not exist.

Correct, but they could have written a patch until now.
If they want to sell something I have them in my emails all the time.
